My Time and Work

My topic is a little hard to understand and it requires lots of research I admit i'm slacking off a little but im still focused on what I want to do in order to understand a game you have to play them and discover glitches or bugs that are in the game, that some people would never see.
What I learned in my research is that although some games are fun a majority of them have glitches or bugs that normally shouldnt be inputed into the game. The most common I believe is the wall glitch. its a common bug that sometimes when you walk into walls your actor or charactor has his/her arm into the wall and sometimes can see past the wall. some cases you can even fall through the wall causing you to fall endlessly unless the programmers made a floor in case that does happen. When you are on a tight scedual some programmers cant put in ever detail that the game needs and then the debuggers or game testers play the games over and over seeing whats glitched or buggy. Aside from bugs, another thing I learned is that when you are programming the most common program that the programmer uses is something called SDK or a Software Development Kit. What this allows you to do is basically save software in a SDK file that allows for later use or reuse when you continue your programming career. An example of a SDK file is DirectX, DirectX is a Basic SDK file and is used commonly among most games/programmers. With Visual Basic you can make a webgame which I think is perfect for this graduation project. If I can make a webgame then anyone in this school can play THAT IS WHAT IM GOING TO DO!!! I finally know what I am going to make, a Web Game that everyone can play. This is perfect wish I would have thought of it sooner...

GAH I WANT TO CRACK MY HEAD OPEN!!!

oie, soo much going on, problems at home and stress at school not to mention i got a sleeping problem. im always tired at weird times. anyways when i spoke with Mr. Mays he told me that we can work on something its just a start but im working on it. In Visual Basic im learning how to make Hang man and a Mr/Ms/Mrs. program so with the things I am learning im thinking of making a simple game first then start developing that game from there. i hope my internship(if i ever get it) will be on computer programming. I also need to worry about my Electronic Profolio still need a disign and I hope Mr. Mays can under stand that i have the idea in mind i just cant make it come to life. my head hurts... with the little to no help im getting i think im doing ok, sure is a rough start but non the less its progressing. Im learning new things in VB(Visual Basic) and I plan on using my knowledge to make something out of it. I didnt join VB w/o a reason.

P.S. I wish people would comment more it be nice to get a little assistance from someone i know its a individual project but that doesnt mean I cant use any help =(

Sleepy....

Im extreamly sleepy from working at home. I want to discuss with Mr. Mays about creating a game like program in Visual Basic. I read articals that this is possible so with Mr. Mays help I'll make sure to make something as a start in my grad project...

(P.S. For some reason cult lit and history bore me to sleep @_@ the book we are reading has lost interest. this makes me more sleepy...)

Ideas For Programming September 10th

Well im thinking hard on what i can program, I took a Programming class this trimester and i am thinking what i can do to make something everyone can use and enjoy. Today in Visual Basic programming, im going to ask Mr. Mays if its possible to use Microsoft Virtual Studios to design a game like program for a start for my grad project. After reading a few articals and looking at different code, its seems i need to get some ideas on what i can do. i want to program a game that can be educational and help people in need with mathmatics and/or reading. Its just a start but I will use my past programming skills from ProjectFun with DigiPen and my current programming class to advance on my Video Game Programming career.

Ideas:

1. Make a simple mathmatic program that can help people understand the basics of mathmatics (like a calculator or a learning program).

2. Program a Reading interface program that helps those who need help with spelling and or grammer in their writting.

3. Make a small game that is great for passing time.

This is just a start I plan on making huge and more enjoyable games as i grow into the industry.

I could use a program called RPG maker that helps people make a game basied off their ideas and imagination. I'm thinking of looking on the internet and finding a suitable program that i can use to help me with my project and display my skills in Programming.

I need to see if Mrs. Savido would accept it before i can do anything of the sort.

Comment please =P

*Laptop is apparently still missing -_- I have ideas on what i want my grad project to be,

1. Video Game programmer/Disigner
2. Computer Software developer
3. Computer Engineering

I want to go into the Gamming career and i will find some articles on Programming/Disigning will keep updating on what I find out...

*Its like a scavenger hunt with my laptop every year...

I found these websites on Game Programming,

http://gamearchitect.net/Articles/WhyC++.html
http://www.upei.ca/csit/videogaming
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_programmer
http://www.gamesfromwithin.com/articles/0501/000066.html
